Q. We found some at Old Time Pottery In Indianapolis about a month ago. Went back last week and they didn't have any.

Electric Wiring Project for Wall Sconces?
Q. Im looking to hang two sconces on a wall. As luck would have it, both sconces are directly positioned above outlets (several feet apart). I plan have a switch on an adjacent wall. Good crawlspace to run the wires. Im sorta lost on how to set this up. Suggestions much appreciated. ClemNation

A. you need to run a cable between each light box.You need to run power to the switch box.You need to run a cable to one of the light boxes from the switch box.The hot in the switch box (black wire)will go on one screw on your switch,doesn't matter which screw.The black wire going to your light box will go on the other screw on your switch.Wirenut the two white wires together in the switch box.Wirenut the two bare wires together with one more bare wire for the ground screw on the switch,this is called a pigtail.Now you have two cables in one light box and one in the other one.Pigtail the two cables in the light box,the black,white,bare.Then the fixture instructions should tell you the rest.Be careful electricity can kill you.Dont guess… [cont.]

What is the standard height for a wall sconce mounted to a mirror in a bathroom?
Q. I am mounting 2 wall scones to a mirror (on either side of a sink). Is there a standard height for this?

A. Wall sconses should be at eye level, poss. a little higher.
