A tractor is a vehicle specifically designed to deliver a high tractive effort (or torque) at slow speeds, for the purposes of hauling a trailer or machinery used in agriculture or construction. Most commonly, the term is used to describe the distinctive farm vehicle: agricultural implements may be towed behind or mounted on the tractor, and the tractor may also provide a source of power if the implement is mechanised. Another common use of the term, "tractor unit", describes the power unit of a semi-trailer truck (articulated lorry). The word tractor was taken from Latin, being the agent noun of trahere "to pull". Q. They are the worlds slowest vehicles and always seem to be on the road during the "going to work" and "coming home from work" periods... No offense to the people who do these jobs but its so irritating. Why cant they just wait for everyone to get into and leave work?.. RAAAH! It would make manufacturer's to work twice as hard to meet the demands. everything you own or use, from your car to the toilet paper you use was at one time or more on one of them slow trucks. Next time your annoyed by a slow truck, just think about how many annoyed drivers cut off the poor driver just to be in front of him instead of behind. Think about how that man in the slow truck has a family to feed just like you. And think about how many hard working family men are injured or killed cause of some annoyed commuter cuts off a truck.
